Dr. Alexander (Dr. Alex) is a qualified Ayurvedic physician from Kerala, the cradle of Ayurveda, situated in the southernmost part of India. Kerala is popularly known as ‘Gods own country’ because of its moderate weather and scenic beauty. Dr. Alexander is a specialist in Ayurvedic medicine and all traditional Kerala Panchakarma treatments, whose great grandfather Padipurackal Cheriyan Vaidyar was an Ayurveda Netra Vaidyar (One who treats eye diseases) He has ten years of experience as an Ayurvedic Practitioner, dietician, therapeutic yoga trainer, massage therapist, Ayurvedic beauty specialist,and a spa consultant. He performs all Ayurvedic therapeutic and relaxation massages and the most well known Indian Head massage, Natural Face Lift massage. He has been working in London for many years as an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Massage Therapist with many Holistic and Alternative Medicine centres such as Recenter Health Balaham, Putney Pharmacy, The Stress Exchange Spa, London Bridge, Champissage Center Caledonian Road. He is a full time member of the qualified British Association of Ayurvedic Practitioners BAAP, APA in the UK, and an accredited trainer with the Complementary Medical Association (CMA), UK and IPTI (UK). He is also an A class registered Ayurvedic Physician in India (Registered with the Travancore-Cochin, Kerala Medical Council).
After achieving his first degree in chemistry with high distinction from Kerala University (top of the class) he enrolled on the BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) at the Government Ayurveda Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram due to his interest to become a doctor and to pursue the tradition of his great grandfather. BAMS is an authentic degree in Ayurveda, although the curriculum is exactly like western medicine, covering every aspect of modern medical science including surgery, as well as the ancient medical science of Ayurveda. The period of study is five and half years, including internships in various clinical departments. Moreover, the Government Ayurveda Medical College is the biggest and best known Ayurveda College in the world. After the successful completion of his BAMS, he started to practice Ayurveda at various hospitals in Kerala like Kottakkal Aryavaidyasala centers and in famous Ayurvedic health resorts like the Somatheeram Ayurvedic health resort, the Kairali Ayurvedic health resort, Palghat. Later he moved to the Middle East to run an Ayurvedic health centre in a five star hotel in Abha, the Abha Palace Hotel, which was formerly under the US Rosewood Management. There he worked as the Health Club and Spa Director for Syahya National Company for Tourism as well. In 2010 he moved to the UK to finish his postgraduate studies at the University of Aberystwyth in Wales. He finished his Master’s degree with high distinction and was selected as the best student of his class in 2012.

Dr. Saru Is an experienced Ayurveda doctor from Kerala. She has completed her BAMS degree (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, 5.5 years) from the most reputed health university in Kerala, India. She has a special interest in female health issues. Dr. Saru is a qualified para medic too.

Medical Herbalist, Ayurvedic Therapist, Yoga and Meditation Teacher
Herbal medicine involves the use of plant-based medicines to assist with reducing and/or alleviating a wide range of symptoms with the ultimate aim of restoring equilibrium to the body, mind and emotions.
Sara has been studying Ayurveda and Yoga in the UK and India for almost a decade and has completed a three year MSc in Herbal Medicine at Middlesex University. She adopts a unique approach to treatment, by combining her knowledge of the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda (the Science of Life) with her Western Herbal Medicine training, based on the traditional use of herbs which have been backed up by scientific evidence. She uses the concepts found in Endobiogenic Medicine to analyse neuroendocrine system function, which along with Ayurveda, informs her diagnosis and prescribing of herbal medicines and recommendations concerning dietary and lifestyle advice.
With a legal background in corporate environments she has first hand insight and experience of the way in which high stress environments can impact on our health and well being. Her aim is to educate, encourage and inspire others to adopt simple changes which can enhance our day to day experience of life and ultimately lead to a more balanced state of physical, mental and emotional health.
